You’re Not The Only One {West Jordan, UT photographer}

It’s not uncommon for us to have families show up for family pictures, only to have less-than-cooperative children. We just wanted those of you know you’re not the only ones.

Here’s Jack: Our energetic, cute 3 year old – who would not give us a normal smile even with begging and promises of ice cream.

Here’s Elena: Our sassy, beautiful 2 year old – who decided to spit water down her front right when I took the lens cap off the camera, and who also didn’t want to sit still or smile during her pictures either.I finally told her she would get some yogurt if she gave me a smile and this is what I got.So next time you get your kids pictures done and they don’t cooperate, remember that you are not alone. It happens to us photographers too.

Elena did eventually give the camera some love and I got a few great shots of her, but Jack never did earn his ice cream. I did find this picture amongst all the crazy smiles. I’ll take it!

And because our kids are so cute, here is one with all three of them. Gotta love the miracle of three smiling kids in the same picture. Love it.

We still aren’t 100% up-and-running yet with our photography business. We recently moved (again) and are settling down, but hopefully soon we will be able to start taking pictures of family

S Family {Salt Lake City Family Photographers}

Matt was James’ best man at our wedding, and there is a good reason for that – Matt has a really generous heart. He contacted me after we moved down to Utah asking if he could get us to take their family pictures. I find this great for a number of reasons. 1.) He is a guy, and perhaps the very first of our male clients contacting us to take family pictures. 2.) He wanted to do something sweet for his wife Samantha for her birthday and knew she would love some updated family pictures. I’m pretty sure he won some brownie points with this one. and 3.) He talked to me first, instead of James, which means he knows who the true boss is with our photography business.

Here is a quick sneak peak of their session. As always, they are gorgeous in every shot.

F Family {Utah County photographers}

One warm, sunny, Sunday evening I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous family! Yes, it must be in the blood.:)Yes, that is my sister. Yes, my nieces and nephews are awesome. Yes, Elizabella is superwoman in many of her shots. And yes, I love how they turned out.:)My sister puts is a big believer of getting her family’s pictures updated, and I love that about her because it reminds me when I need to do my own. She always dresses her family up cute and I love it. Ron’s brother Reed and his family also joined in on the fun for some updated pictures as well.

Baby Thomas {Utah County newborn photography}

My cousin Andrew and his wife Cortney had their first boy! And what a sweet little guy. He didn’t want to be asleep during the shoot, but after some time we were able to fit in a few pictures of the new babe. Cortney and Andrew live in Idaho and were down for a nephew’s wedding, so I was so excited that we got to see them and meet Thomas. Congrats guys. He is gorgeous.

The reason for our Absence {Idaho and Utah newborn photographers}

If you have been wondering why we have been MIA, we have actually been cuddling up to this cute little guy. Our son Max arrived early Saturday morning, and we are soaking in as much baby time (and sleep) as we can. We are also officially leaving Idaho behind now that he is here and will be setting up roots in Utah (Salt Lake City – Provo area). We are going to miss all our friends and clients here in Idaho, but are excited to move on to new things. Wish us luck! We will let everyone know when we are scheduling sessions again. Thanks.
