You’re Not The Only One {West Jordan, UT photographer}

It’s not uncommon for us to have families show up for family pictures, only to have less-than-cooperative children. We just wanted those of you know you’re not the only ones.

Here’s Jack: Our energetic, cute 3 year old – who would not give us a normal smile even with begging and promises of ice cream.

Here’s Elena: Our sassy, beautiful 2 year old – who decided to spit water down her front right when I took the lens cap off the camera, and who also didn’t want to sit still or smile during her pictures either.I finally told her she would get some yogurt if she gave me a smile and this is what I got.So next time you get your kids pictures done and they don’t cooperate, remember that you are not alone. It happens to us photographers too.

Elena did eventually give the camera some love and I got a few great shots of her, but Jack never did earn his ice cream. I did find this picture amongst all the crazy smiles. I’ll take it!

And because our kids are so cute, here is one with all three of them. Gotta love the miracle of three smiling kids in the same picture. Love it.

We still aren’t 100% up-and-running yet with our photography business. We recently moved (again) and are settling down, but hopefully soon we will be able to start taking pictures of family

If you have been wondering why we have been MIA, we have actually been cuddling up to this cute little guy. Our son Max arrived early Saturday morning, and we are soaking in as much baby time (and sleep) as we can. We are also officially leaving Idaho behind now that he is here and will be setting up roots in Utah (Salt Lake City – Provo area). We are going to miss all our friends and clients here in Idaho, but are excited to move on to new things. Wish us luck! We will let everyone know when we are scheduling sessions again. Thanks.

Fall {Rexburg, ID photographers}

We had unusually beautiful days in October and November here in Rexburg. We decided to take advantage of it one weekend and brought the kids out to explore. I love the colors and scenery in these shots.

We are finally back from our vaction/work trip. We are accepting clients in Idaho on a week-by-week basis until we get our living situation stabilized. With graduation, job hunting, interviewing, a probable move, etc. we feel it would be unfair to our clients to book anything too far in advance, with the exception of weddings.

If you are interested in a photo shoot with us, please contact us and let us know when you were hoping. Just know if you are hoping to get a photo shoot from October on, the odds are we can’t make that committment yet.

So this is my last semester taking classes at BYU-Idaho, and let me just say that I am really excited to be done. Although I am excited to be done and move along the path I am taking some fun classes this semester. I am currently enrolled in 2 photography classes and a new media marketing class. The new media marketing class teaches about social media and how to use it effectively. Also for the class I needed to create a new blog and write about a topic. So with this assignment and a couple of emails asking questions, I decided to write about photography. Spring Break = Disneyland

As James mentioned before we went on an awesome family vacation to Disneyland during our Spring Break. We had an absolute blast! We were there for 4 days and still didn’t get to do everything we wanted.

Here are a few pics we took on our vacation. Enjoy.

Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. Flashes were not allowed on the ride, and we never would have gotten this pic if we didn’t have such a low F stop. I think its pretty cool.

If you get the chance to go to Disneyland – GO. You won’t regret it. It is amazing. We are officially Disneyland addicts. We want to go back in December – maybe this time with out the kids and just staying one or two days. (Though it is SO fun with kids – so I don’t know if James will be able to talk me in to leaving them home)

Happy Anniversary
