Baby Hannah {Idaho and Utah Newborn Photographer}

Hannah was a beautiful baby to photograph. When you set up a time for a newborn photo shoot you really have no idea what their schedule will be like, and we happened to schedule the shoot right during Hannah’s usual “alert” time of the day. Miraculously she was able to fall back asleep and we were able to get some great shots of her and her family. I love the big sister shots as well. Here are some highlights from the session. Enjoy.
We snuck some shots outside as well since it was actually warm, nice weather. I teased Cheryl that she must be a good luck charm since it was the first nice day we had had in a long time.

We love weddings for a few reasons. One, they are a fun challenge. Two, the couples we meet are always great. And three, its great to be able to help a couple get beautiful images on their special day.

Diana & Troy were no exception. Check out this beautiful couple. I love her color choices for flowers, her dress, and his awesome gray suit! I am working on their pictures, and there are a lot of them to go through, but here are a few shots to show the happy couple and their family while they wait for the rest. Congrats you two!

The Maxfields have been our loyal customers since before little Miss Leighton even got here. They are done with school and are moving away and we are so sad to see them go, but so glad they thought of us and had us take some quick family shots before they left. I can’t believe how big, beautiful, and sweet Leighton is. (She must take after her mom in the beauty department!) James said she had the cutest laugh and he had a hard time not laughing during the shots (a big no-no if you want crisp pics), and I can just see her personality bursting from these photos. So fun. We’ll miss you Erika and Jack! Be sure to keep in touch!

Better late than never, right? This cute couple met through drumming, and wanted to include their drum set in their pictures. We found this beautiful wheat field, set up the drums, and enjoyed the day. It was a mini shoot (we offer half an hour sessions for $40 for 5 images) but we were able to run across the street and get some nice pictures in the gardens as well. They were a fun couple. Congrats you guys.

So the other week I entered a photography contest at BYU-Idaho in there photographic’s society. I turned in two different pictures, and I won first place in the edited division. The contest was a “light” contest. Anyway here is the picture..

Opening up Photo Sessions for Spring

The weather in Rexburg is still not the most predictable, but we are starting up photo sessions for Spring now that the weather has been a little tamer.

We still would like to test out the new lighting, but currently we have openings on Fridays and Saturdays. Our morning session will be at 10:00, and our evening session will begin at around 5:30 or 6:00.

For my multimedia class we just finished our second assignment. It was a dynamic flash slide show which was supposed to demonstrate an activity that occurs here at BYU-Idaho. The class was divided into groups and my group decided to highlight “Music Outlet.” Music Outlet is a show that happens every Monday night and gives students an opportunity to share some music that they have written. I ended up taking all the pictures that was used in this slide show.
