I was so happy to hear that this cute couple decided to get married. Steven is my cousin and comes over to our place a lot and we instantly fell in love with Katie. They match up great and make one adorable couple. We were also lucky enough to travel to California for their wedding, so look for some great wedding shots to come soon. Here are some of my favorite shots from their engagement photo shoot.

(side note: We almost canceled the shoot because it was so incredibly windy that day. Glad we didn’t. We still got some incredible shots in.)

Kendra and Doug worked really hard at getting their free photo shoot and won first place in the giveaway, getting a free standard session. The colors were gorgeous and we were able to get some really great pictures in. They of course were a gorgeous couple, so that always makes things easy. Thanks for entering the giveaway guys. Salena & Mitch entered our giveaway a few months ago for free couples/engagements/anniversary pictures. They won second place and got a free mini session. So congrats to them! So I am still really backed up with my blogging. In fact I went through and counted how many sessions that I still need to blog about. When I got to 20 I stopped because I then realized that I could do one a day and still not be caught up within the next 20 days. As daunting as that is, I still need to post more. So here is a engagement shoot that we did a couple weeks back here in Rexburg Idaho. I love these photos because Brianne and Chris decided to do something a little different. They strung up a map in between some trees and took a desk out of the Ricks building. They did it because thats how they met. I think that it really added something totally different and plus how many other photos have you seen taken in the gardens with a map and desk in trees? That is what makes great photos, to add something that will really mean something.

This was my favorite couple to photograph this summer. Why? Because Julie happens to be my baby sister. I am a little biased. She got engaged to a great guy earlier this summer, and they got married in August. Today was an incredibly busy day. We had four sessions starting at 8 this morning and I don’t think we finished until almost 7 tonight, 4 sessions later. Last week we actually got our pictures taken by an awesome photographer from Idaho Falls (Jaclyn Davis) and we realized that waiting to see pictures of a session is a lot harder when you are the client then when you are the photographer. We decided that sneak previews should be something that we should do more. So here is a sneak preview of today’s sessions.

Durning the summer we did some couple shoots. It was fun because we photographed them in the gardens and these beautiful wheat fields. It was fun however because we tried some new things which I really think turned out well. Believe it or not this was done around 8 at night. I just loved the light we had.

I work up at Brigham Young University Idaho, and it just so happens that one of my coworkers is getting married next month. I thought it would be fun to do some engagement photos, mostly because I like helping people out, but also because of the great weather we are having here in Rexburg Idaho. It has been absolutely gorgeous and I really like the light that we have been getting. So here are just a few of my favorite photos from their engagement shoot.

I have so many more that I would like to post, but it is about 1 am and I think that is the time for me to go to bed. Maybe I will post some more soon.
